Bedford Square

In 2006 we were commissioned to update the lighting in Bedford Square, London, to bring it back to a more appropriate lighting style to suit the square.

We used the original Board of St Giles columns and created 25 original lanterns to suit.

In addition to the 25 lanterns, four ornate lanterns were built for each corner of the square and were installed onto four custom made columns. We used photographs taken outside the Bedford Head Hotel in 1904 to create these special lanterns, creating replicas from the pictures.

We use a combination of traditional and modern, tried and tested, manufacturing methods to craft products. This maintains an authentic heritage appearance whilst ensuring durability and longevity.
